PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN TOWN COUNCIL & COMMITTEE MEETINGSMembers of the public may attend the non-confidential proceedings of any Town Council meeting. However, they may not participate in debate or discussion. If there is some issue on which they want to express their views in person, the Chairman can allow Public Participation by temporarily adjourning the meeting. A request for Public Participation should be made to the Chairman before the commencement of the meeting. Parishioners will be permitted to speak at the discretion of the Chairman. The Chairman will be the only Councillor able to respond directly to the parishioner. No dialogue may take place between the parishioner and other Councillors during the meeting. |
